Kevin, what's the latest on Corn Elder? Haven't heard much about him lately. It looks like there is going to be a lot of competition to land him along with Vonn Bell and the Jalens.
I was disappointed to see that Bell doesn't have us in his top four. Based on some early interviews, I thought he may be a Tennessee lean.

Not getting Von Bell would be a huge dissapointment considering he seems to be a UT fan. Losing him to Ohio St would burry the knife even further

It wouldn't hurt that much, he would have to wait a while to play (haven't daid that in years haha). Maybe playing time is most important to him.

The above comment from Derwin Gray stands out to me. The fact that he said Pittman was "my" OL coach says alot to me. Or at least I'm hoping it does anyway.

Landing him would be huge but not getting him won't exactly "hurt" the vols. The sophomore class of dbs this year is very talented, lanier and brewer are just juniors, they also have mcneil and bonner coming in this year.

Vonn Bell is the number one player on my board. He is a game changer. I want him bad. I'm not as high on Elder as some. I'd love to have him but of all the big time instate kids he is most expendable on my list. I really want Bell and Ramsey along with Kamara and the kid from Randolph's school out of Georgia and I'd love to get Adams too but that is starting to sound like a pipe dream.

hightower was an instate kid and phil let him out, there was also a need for LBs at the time, thats why that hurt, Bell is from GA and has offers from other prestigious programs, the vols have a strong secondary as well and will be better with the arrival of this year's signees. It's still early in this recruiting year but right now Tennessee isnt even in Bell's top schools, but alot can change in the time until signing day. If they don't get him maybe they'll get another stud DB, it's too early to start hurting because of one recruit.

and just because he's a 5 star doesn't mean he'll be out there tearing up the SEC as a freshman, 5 star guys need a little time to develop too.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to say that this secondary is talented enough to not really need bell. I want to be optimistic about this year there being some improvement, but really we are just returning a bunch of guys that haven't proven much. We'll take all the help we can get.

EB and Janzen come to mind here. If its elite talent u play it. I still think mcneil comes in and plays this year too as a true freshman.

I really think Mcneil comes in and takes the other safety position from Moore. Bell wouldn't start as a freshman but would def get some playing time.
