Anyone see Flood just get in that guys face? Something I never saw Dooley do in 3 years.. Something I think a HC should do every game

Not sure what your problem is with Strong, but the guy has coached two national championship defenses and was the d coordinator under Holtz when South Carolina had two back to back top 25 finishes. He took over a horrible Louisville team and in three years is going to a BCS bowl with 5 Senior starters.

I don't have a problem with strong. I'm sure he's a great guy. He just hasn't impressed me enough as a HC for me to feel comfortable with him being named HC at UT. The BCS thing doesn't impress me. It's the Big East and he hasn't dominated the schedule like an SEC caliber coach in his 3rd year should IMO

I would take Strong as my number two after Gruden and be very happy. Flood took over a plug and play program at RU (9-4 recordnthe year before, good recruiting compared toothersin conference). If Louisville could pull off an Orange Bowl win, he would probably coat us more, but we would have recruits flocking to Knoxville.

+1 I was going to make this point, but I didn't want to make this a Flood against Strong thread. I think Flood may be a good coach, but let's wait til year three. I work with a guy that is an alum and huge Rutgers football fan, he was at the game lastnight. He didn't like Schiano's Xs and Os, but raved about the recruiting. I believe the current Rutgers team may have a few five stars, both from Jersey. Flood had been a position coach for his entire career before being promoted to head coach and none of the schools prior to Rutgers were FBS. Comparing Flood to Strong is unfair to Flood and Strong.
