Rutgers HC is better than Strong

  • I'm not worried about Strong leaving but our coach gets bashed everywhere and all of sudden everyone wants him. This is what I'm saying. This whole thread was predicated on how bad Charlie is as a HC. Then he gets bashed until he wins the game. I like UT as many in my family are alums of the university. But I'm tired of people bashing my university because we are in the Big East. In 15 years we've done what very few schools have been able to do. We were a frogs hair from getting booted by the Metro Conference. Thanks to your commissioner we got another start. I would have gone over to my board with the 50 members of our basketball program. Sellout every game! Does Thompson-Boling do that every game? But I read this board talking badly about our coach. I just don't see Charlie as a good fit after your two flops of coaches. Kirby Smart, Fedora, plenty of nice coaches out there.

    Keep telling yourself that you're not scared. You wouldn't be here if you weren't The guy's a great coach, and most of this thread (and a lot of others) show that most on this board think he is. A lot of us hope our AD feels the same way, because if he does, Charlie will be in Knoxville next week. Like the other poster said, there ain't nothing you can do about it either. You picked the wrong board to stumble on to. You're not winning this discussion. You may want to stick to basketball.

  • Tennessee should pay attention to bball. Season is over for the football team. Almost beat Georgetown that's commendable. Hopefully you were watching them. Cuonzo would like you to show up.

    It wouldn't surprise me if he does our school seems to open doors for everyone though. Petrino did it to us so not like its out if the realm. And evidently he is interviewing down there. I will say this about my university. We put money in every program. If we were in the SEC we would compete. Everyone said you'll never make it in the BE well we've done fine. We will be fine in the ACC as well. Jurich isn't stupid we will find another coach if he leaves. But I wouldn't leave the team he has coming next year. Teddy Bridgewater is pretty damn good and if strong talk about character and then turns around and leaves he will show very little character. But if he leaves best of luck to him. We also heard from multiple sources that Gruden was all but signed at UT.

    Time to cut your losses. I'm sure there's a Louisville board.
