Please entertain me for a minute and let's assume Chip Kelly gets hired by an NFL team.
Which Oregon recruits (committed and uncommitted) would Tennessee have a good shot at getting?

The Eagles, Bears, Chargers, Browns, Bills, Chiefs, and Browns are all looking for a new head coach as of today. Kelly's name has been mentioned a few times this morning as a candidate, so I just started wondering if his departure could impact Tennessee's recruiting.

Penn St. recruits I think are more likely to be looking elsewhere then Org. recruits are. Bill O'Brian is a hot name right now and loved by people in the NFL. So PSU players migiht be looking elsewhere.

I would think not. If you had said a team and head coach from the SEC, then definitely. But a West Coast powerhouse who we pretty much never compete with prospects for, no. Chip Kelly's departure would be huge for USC and Washington, obviously, Tennessee wouldn't even be in that conversation.

I really don't see O'Brien leaving. It makes sense for him to get out of Happy Valley ask quickly as possible, but he walked in there knowing the situation. If he leaves, PSU better find someone extraordinarily special to save their hide.

It does decrease at midnight, but yes, very big buyout!!!

Living in Massachusetts, I can tell you the Pats fans didn't think all that much of him. But he did an unbelievable job at PSU this year.

i agree ..a super job for college but not for the pro's.
