While I'm skeptical on most of their info, to some degree this makes sense. I hope Hart and Dooley meet in the middle somewhere, because tension between the two, if there is any, isn't good for the program.

That is just Feels like 98 covering their ass since they were the one who supposedly broke the Shannon to UT story. Not buying a word of it....

If this is true I have a problem with Hart. If he forced Dooley to hire Graham and if he is forcing Dooley to hire Shannon he needs to just go ahead and fire Dooley and become the coach himself or make Shannon the head coach which, if true, he is probably angling for anyway. This site has been wrong more than right lately so I am calling BS. Not aimed at you 'rivervol'. You bring good info to the board consistently and I appreciate it. I am not against Shannon for DC and think it would be a good hire but I am not Dooley.

IMO, I really think they are trying to cover their butts in case Shannon isn't hired, that way they don't look like idiots for saying it's a done deal. But after reading the article, it does make you wonder just a little bit if Dooley and Hart are on the same page. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

If you think about it MOST, not all rumors come from a spec of truth I just wonder what part is the truth part. There will be a problem IMO if he hires Steele over Shannon, and if the story is truth, if dooley doesn't have a great season look for hart to find a replacement and that is not where we need to go. This sucks if true.

Interesting read. Written like a politician's answer to a question. If it's this, then it's that, and so on.
I don't see Dooley and Hart going this hard at one another for this hire. Based on the remarks both have made about supporting the other. Dooley appears very intelligent and I think he would be able to recognize and avoid conflict with his boss. Hart writes the checks so in the end it's going to be his hire if there is in fact this friction between the two. JMO

If Heistand leaves, Joseph will be the only Dooley hire left. Chaney and Thompson were here already and I suspect Graham stays past next year even if Dooley doesn't. These next Dooley hires will provide a heat check.

Exactly! If they have such a solid source why did that source say RS was a done deal and would be announced on Fri or Mon? I think the whole Hart vs. Dooley got started by a Dooley hater. I think Dooley will hire the coach he feels is best. I trust Wes when he says the list of people in the know is very short. Most of the info about the DC search has been speculation at best.
