Saban rumors

Interesting. Apparently there are some rumors floating around that Haslam has okay'd going after Nick Saban to coach the Cleveland Browns.
That would be interesting if true.

That would be interesting if true.

I would prefer a personal services contract to work for Haslam, then Jimbo could send Saban to work anywhere he wanted him.

Except that he already coached in the NFL and it didn't end too well. Don't think it is going to happen unless Haslam spends all the money many folks here want him to spend on Gruden.

Saban is 62, makes several million at Bama and has a well-oiled machine in place. I think he is closer to thinking about his post-coaching days than going for another job. On the other hand, one could argue that he has nothing left to prove at Bama - or in college football in general - and may want one last challenge before calling it quits, so who knows?

Haha yea I was an arsenal fan as a kid since my dad was in the army and their logo was a cannon.
I really enjoy watching Spurs play tho. Bale, Dempsey, Lloris, Lennon, Huddlestone. Walker. I just love that team.

Dooley-still our HC

Dooley-contract has expired...what to do
Saban-with Haslam in his ear and seeing the writing on the wall has things to consider. Decides he wants to be the first coach to ever take 3 SEC schools to a NC.

Ego....it is 100% about ego. These guys want to prove they can succeed at the highest level which is the NFL. If Saban can get his ideal situation I think he makes another run at it. Saban is a control freak which is why he didn't last in Miami. Haslam is smart enough to give Saban enough control to make him happy and Haslam wants to win. I can see this. Both Haslam and Saban have an extreme desire to win and win big...that is a good match.

Bama writer had it right...it is about legacy. And right now his NFL legacy is he can't cut the cheese in that league. Again, all about the ego.
