You are right, it's about ego and money. Bammers would love to think it's about Bama but it's not. Bama is simply the vehicle that took him to the top of college football. I think a few more NFL owners will make a run at him and we'll see where his ego takes him.

Just for clarity's sake - based on what he has accomplished he has earned that ego and salary. He has walked the walk.

I'm betting that Haslam would love to have Cowher coach the Browns (where he played and started his coaching career) but I'm not sure Cowher would come back and coach a Steelers rival. It will be a splash hire, that's for sure.
