Saban to the Browns?

  • If this happens, they'd hire Gruden and the world would end.

Saban could emerge as Cleveland Brown’s top coaching target | Saturday Down South

Would Nick Saban leave Alabama to coach the Cleveland Browns? The connection between Saban and the Browns could make it happen.

If they hired Gruden (Bama), my hate for that Crimson would absolutely go to over 9000. Can't take that.

2 weeks ago i said hes gone to the browns..but would he? could be the reson smart stayed at bama
and didnt want to leave bama knowing this could happen,,just gut feeling ..if you will look back in the season when the browns was bought.sabans name came up og being coach at browns.
his team struggled after all that..but whats got me why would he at this point of his life?

unless hes made a offer he cant turn down...one side of it i could see why he would..on the other seide why does he need to?
good for tenn ...maybe''''...ide love to see him bolt to the nfl again..and us beating them next year
cant hurt to think + right?

Staff said that Smart wanted the UT job very badly in the VIP room so I can't imagine that is the case. My guess is that if Saban were to leave Bama would have lots of interested high quality names and Smart wouldn't be at the top of that list. Don't like that but its just the way it is right now. shrug

  • As Ronnie Reagan said "read my lips" Saban is going nowhere. He failed miserably in the pros. He's 61 years old and is more interested in adding on to his crystal collection than he is being the boss of employees making 10X The income he makes. He has everything he wants in Tuscaloosa. He ain't leavin!

  • This scenario sounds like it's tailor-made for conspiracy theories. I can hear it now - "Haslam only hired Saban to get him out of Alabama!!"

  • Greg Bedard is a great NFL reporter - I dismissed the talk until I read it from him. He covered the Dolphins during Saban's very brief time there. I didn't realize Saban was so tight with Michael Lombardi.

You're probably right, but man it would be sweet if Saban left Bama and set their program back 5 years.

Yes, but I still haven't gotten over us never beating Urban before he bolted from UF. I at least want to beat Bama one time with Saban still there.
