Said this three days ago, gonna say it again

  • This team's biggest problem is the same problem every team has when they change defenses, especially this 3-4. No team has ever mastered it in one, even two years. The offense has scored enough points (average- 40) to win every game this year. They are becoming a good team, but we'll have to be patient with this defense. I wish our fans would be smart and give positive press more attention. It could literally move recruiting up that extra notch to top 10 status.

    I think they improved during the course of this game. Looking forward to seeing the game stats to compare 1st half/2nd half stats on Georgia's rushing totals.

    I've said on this board more than once. UGA went 6-6 their first year in the 3-4 but were improving at the end of the year. +1 to you.

  • I have said the same thing. People need to give Sal a break this year. Our defense will look better later because we play Vandy, Ky and Troy

    We mastered it and won the national championship here at 'Bama in two years with a 3-4. Proves your football IQ sux & everybody sees it. Our old lb coach, Sal Sunsuri, initiated all the great ones to it; Courtney Upshaw, Donte Hightower & the like. Fine coach - better keep him or hell, we will take him back in a hiccup.

    Nick Saban has run 3-4 most of his coaching life - from michigan State, LSU, Dolphins and tide. That's why we recruit well / any 3-4 defense with right personnel is a complicated scheme to defend. Lots blitzes masked & the like & yes, we did win the National championship 2nd year with 3-4.

    I was wrong Sir BIGTIME. Period. Not about 3-4 or 2nd year NC with the 3-4 at 'Bama but I was wrong in presuming you were complaining. Many sincere apologies-& yes! It is a difficult thing to master (the 3-4) but it can done - again, with right personnel. I regret & retract my earlier dumbass statements. My loyalty to Coach Sal Sunsuri on my end, displayed pure ignorance for the whole Tennessee board to see. I hate being humbled - just hate it! Maintain patience
