Saturday Morning Musings

  • Likened unto the weather outside here in West TN this morning, the days leading up to the naming of our new Vol Coach was very dreary. It was certainly taxing on our 247 Staff as well as upon our emotions. We have a Coach. To some, he is the answer. To some, he is not the answer. Regardless, he is our Coach. We all want the outcome of the change to improve on TN's W-L record. Our passion for success is second to none. Our enthusiasm for our program is personal to each of us in this sports-family environment. The coming days promises shedding-light upon the ins and outs of the coaching staff makeup, player responses, and recruiting. Some of us are not X's and O's guys, but we know a good play when we see it. I think Coach Jones' selection was a good play. A one-liner he said in the PC caught my attention - "I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work." That impressed me as indicative of what I hope is his blue-collar mentality. I identified with that. I hope the players identify too.

  • Glad to hear he is rolling up his sleeves and not "pulling up his britches!" Lol

I am excited about this hire......
