I've just gotten a persisten headache from all of this mess. Ready for it to be overwith.

Wadda ya mean "at 56 is no spring chicken?" That statement just ain't right on several different levels.

You the man and I totally agree. Love watching CCM and the guys play ball. The sad fact is for the past number of years my favorite thing about basketball season has been its meant football has finally ended for the year. So hopefully next year when I start looking forward to bball it's because we'll be winning in two sports(If I can't win the lotto perhaps God will let me have that one)

The best coaches out there right now that "might" consider UT include Fisher, Peterson, and Patterson. The best coaches that "would" stongly consider UT are, in order of effectiveness, are Petrino, Strong, Jones, and Golden. Contracts can be worded to protect the school from any possible shenanigans from Petrino and if he has learned what he should have learned, as many think he has, he will win quickly. And as for recruiting he would do well. Mommas love a contrite sinner. It might be time to lower the height of that Vol horse a bit and go get someone that will produce wins. Don't believe the Vol nation will be happy with a 3-5 year rebuilding program again.

Greg Roman is a West Coast guy. He would be another one that would leave. We need someone that would stay here for a while if he wins.

So Doren is a big risk but cirby smart s not? Do. Not. Want. Cirby...at all.

The times have a-changed. I'm 39; Johnny Majors & Phil Fulmer were the HC's for most of my life. I never imagined they would leave to take another job.

That mindset changed when the blond woman, the grunting Cajun and the rest took off to California. While, I was glad, it came as a shock that anyone would think being UT HC would not be the dream job.

Oh well, Neyland Stadium is still the best. Game day in Knoxville is still awesome. Hire one of the guys who can and will turn it around, and every fan will look back at the "dark" times like my Dad's generation did on the Battle era, or my Grandad's generation did between the lat Wyatt era and when Coach Doug Dickey got it going again, and remember the time during their fandom when they walked six miles to school, shoeless and uphill both ways. (Wow, I think that last sentence is way too long).

Anyway, just my thoughts on the whole, crazy situation.
