Throw in passes to Ripley's Aquarium and I think they land the big fish for sure!
Seriously though...when the man sits down with Hart in front of a camera and says: "I will be the next head coach at Tennessee." Then I will believe...and not until.
If it is Gruden, perfect timing would be a called press conference to announce 30 minutes prior to kickoff of the SEC championship game. PR EXPLOSION!
If we don't hear anything before that game, I think it will be Fisher or some other current head coach announced early next week.

Welcome to the CheckerBoard Leldorin!
"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!
Personally, I think all these Gruden rumors are dangerous. I don’t think the offer for Browns ownership is even close to legit. My understanding is that the other NFL owners would have to vote on it, and his existing deal with Tampa only complicates matters.
If Gruden comes… great! But if he doesn’t (and there’s a better than average chance he won’t), all this hype going around will mean any other hire will be a disappointment to both fans AND recruits. Yes, it brings attention to the university, but it could create more negatives than positives if things don’t work out.
Personally, I would much rather they go aggressively after O’Brien than Gruden. O’Brien has proven he can do more with less, so I can only imagine how well he’d do with the proper resources at his disposal and no real NCAA sanctions prohibiting progress. His buyout may only be $9MM vs. $18MM depending on how the extension in his contract was structured. Listen to me… only $9MM… geez!

BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
I am trying really hard to not gett too optimistic about Gruden coming to UT because I don't want to be disappointed if it does not happen. But I will have to admit that some of the posts on this thread are making me think it still is a possibility, despite the obvious flub about being already offered Browns ownership. I also agree that all this talk on the internet has got to be getting the attention of some 4* and 5* star recruits. I know the ratings system is not perfect, but I'd sure feel better about next year if we could close with some top flight guys. GO VOLS!
Huge mistake if UT hires Jimbo Fisher. He couldn't beat NCSU, come on man!!
