Looks like one DE position is in good hands with Sentimore/Fowlkes. Now we need to solidify the other side and the middle. Three and a half weeks to go.

Sentimore and Fowlkes are giving each other a lot of competition, and it seems to be making both of them better!

Gotta feelin Sentimore had a "light bulb moment" after spring when he realized he got 2 years to set himself up (and family) for a lot of $$$ playing on Sunday. He also got embarrassed in spring coming in overweight and underestimating the competition at Tennessee..
Bringing in Nick Gentry from Bama (whose just a couple of years out of Bama) was extremely smart on Sal's part. I've heard several D linemen refer to him and how he's helping them. Gentry was a great pass rusher at Bama and somehow always ended up getting by larger O linemen to make a play. He'll have those guys "fired up" on gameday.

If this defense can go against 1 of what I believe is potentionally one of the best offences in the SEC & hold their own everyday, then they should be in pretty good shape against the rest!
23 more day's & we shall see!!

Interesting that he named Fowlkes. Not a shot in my opinion but it does tell me he wants that position and he will climb over anyone in his way. I think we are golden on that side. Thanks Ryan, +1

Sentimore ALWAYS had a ton of talent on the field. Our coaches wanted him so badly to do right off the field because our depth is strong enough that even nfl guys get pushed out if they dont do it the saban way (also see brandon moore at texas).
DS had a great first step and motor. Honestly, his motor gets him a few penalties every now and then but the kid is a special talent.
All bama guys love gentry. He was slow and undersized but always got to the qb somehow. He was on the team last year so I'm suprised he didn't try harder to make am nfl team.
