It's still a long way to go.

All of these early commitments are exciting and scary at the same time. As time goes on I think some of them miss the attention and reopen things and start "lookin' around." So I try not to get too caught up in the drama early on.

With that said, it speaks volumes of the job CDD and the staff did this past NSD. UT was put through the ringer and still held together a great class. The kids they sign are high character guys. Kiffie was good at selling Kiffie and his papa. They never sold these kids on UT and the special place that it is.

If this season provides many more wins, UT will also improve in recruiting. And with CDD at the helm I like our chances of both happening. If I'm not mistaken, UT was the only team in the top 26 recruiting classes with a losing record. Imagine what could happen after a 8-5, 9-4, or 10-3 season (all include a bowl victory)? I'm not the shoulda coulda woulda type, but think about it.
