    True, but he nearly went undrafted too. Wasn't it like 6th round? Can't remember. A lot easier to motivate when your getting paid.

    7th round I believe. He was also drafted after he was buried 3rd on Kansas States depth chart behind 2 stud running backs. I agree it's a lot easier to motivate when getting paid. I think Bryce also has the potential to be a stud in the NFL if he wants it bad enough.

    Good response. We ALL have our right to our opinions. And we should do it without name calling etc. With that being said I hope that this young man has a fantastic career at UT.

Well even with our lack of quality depth and injuries to other WRs he hasn't played. Smith is gunna be the same. These 2 kids wouldn't stand out and get attention if they played in a state that was worth a darn in HS football. They wouldnt get a second look in FLA, GA or TX. Why our staff feels the need to get avg local products idk but like a previous poster said, Blanc, Smith, Bullock all would've been walk on when we were an elite program. We won't get back to elite if we still sign avg players. I'd rather not use the scholly and wait then jus handin it out to kids who will never play. P

    Not sure which team you are referring to, but I don't recall any injuries other than Croom to the receiving corps.

    I mean, I'm really trying to think back here, but... nope... our top 3 have been healthy all year. Blanc will make an impact during his time at UT. And Smith is arguably better than him.

    We aren't going to get all 5*. it is literally impossible. not even the Bammers get all 5*.

    So I think you are wrong, and I can't wait for Smith to come play here. He's a great talent with lots of upside.

    I think what he's talking about is there was a time after D. Rogers was kicked off, when Howard and Croom were hurt. I thought Blanc got time against NC State?

    Umm Pig Howard was hurt and really missed the first 1/3 of the season. Da'Rick was kicked off, they moved Dallas back to WR from DB and a walk on Carter gets more PT. Blanc isn't a player, he's avg. And he may play sparingly but he doesn't make an impact. I've played with better athletes in GA that got overlooked bc of the abundance of good players, Blanc and Smith would not have been recruited in a state with better talent. Special teams players, but if we rely on them then we will remain avg.
