You have no favorite boards.
"Count it down with me. Five, four, three, two, one.
The national champion is clad in Big Orange!"
If you have already decided to get the season ticket, congratulations. You won't regret it .
If you need someone on the board to convince you , don't do it. JMO
As an alumnus, I have had season tickets since 1983. I live an hour and a half away and make the drive in and out every game day. I love the pre and post game radio broadcasts win or lose and always feel like I am going home when I am on campus. So much of the game day experience is not available on a television screen. I hope you come and enjoy time with your mom while you have the opportunity. I think it's great she asked you. GBO
You could easily go to every game and buy tickets on the street and come out cheaper. Or, even buy someone else's season tickets on eBay or craigslist.
As others have mentioned, the ancillary costs will add up quick. My wallet took a huge hit when some of my good friends moved away from Knoxville and we had to start getting hotel rooms.
Every year, I go through the decision making process of giving up my season tickets or not. I live in the Nashville area, so I'm able to make the trip without having to spend money on a hotel every game weekend.
Tough call. You can always give it a shot for a season and then use the knowledge gained to make a better informed decision for future seasons.
Either way, GBO!

I always look for a deal on them and if I find one I usually will get them. It's not that I dint want them it's just head to have t least 800 bucks just laying around. If they had a payment plan that you could pay in installments I'd be all over it. If I was in your shoes it would be a matter if how much you like to drive. Doing that drive all the time may get old not to mention expensive. To answer your question though anytime you have an oppurtunity for tickets you have to take advantage of it :)
