T.J. Simers, Jim Mora butt heads at UCLA press conference - SBNation.com

L.A. Times columnist T.J. Simers couldnt help but make himself the center of a story again, this time accusing the Bruins of playing against Stanford as if it were a meaningless preseason game. UCLA coach Jim Mora, naturally, took offense.

He's an easy one to get riled up. There literally is something wrong with him upstairs I think. I have heard many a story of him snapping behind the scenes at the ATL media.

Simers has a history of doing things like this. He's a columnist who often finds a way to rile up coaches and players, to say the least. I wouldn't just point the finger at Mora in this case.

Not at all. He was definitely provoked. I'm just saying, it isn't difficult to provoke Mora though. That's all.

I think he handled the statements made by the reporter very well. The reporter was badgering him and shouldn't be in the press conference room anymore in my opinion. Very rude and ridiculous accusations from him on Mora Jr.

Nope. That reporter was a jerk. Thought Mora handled it pretty well. Better than I would have.

Presser was very awkward. It was almost like it was personal to Simers. I'm surprised Mora didn't body slam him

I would cancel my subscription here if either Ryan or Wes acted this way. This was not reporting. It was agenda driven garbage.

Yes, i saw that. There is a female asking a-hole questions too. Mora cant be real happy there.
If we wanted him, i dont see him turning down $3-3.5mil to come coach at tennessee. Would be a bargain compared to the gruden numbers.
