I was at the game 10 rows up on the 50 right behind the Vols bench. I can say with complete clarity the seniors DID NOT do anything to try and pump the underclassmen up! No one from the seniors to the water boy (excluding the conditioning coach) was fired up or ready to play today! Without a doubt immaturity is all over the team, but what do we expect "the team" is a bunch 18-19 year olds. If what Poole is saying is the truth why didn't he/they lead from the beginning of the year?...... I said this before and I'll say it again Dooley deserves 2 more years. When "fans" that post "GO IRISH" on this board come back to the Vols, I will forgive them, but I will never forget what was said...In closing I get to go hang out with my 3 week old son! He has never seen UT beat UK, but he makes me realize UT football is the most important, unimportant thing in my life. Go Vols!

To cjblaze... I for one am glad your gone. Im sick to death of everyone of the fair weather fans! Don't bother coming back around next year when WE win 8 to 10 games , or the seasons that follow, good or bad. My blood runs orange, win or lose! GO VOLS!

Maybe Poole could be taken more seriously as a so-called team leader if he didn't go down on first contact every time. I know I am being harsh due to today's embarrassment, but Poole shouldn't call others out when he didn't show much fire on the field today.

One answer to the problem is increased competition at each position. Too many of our players realize that they are all we've got, so why bother working for it.

For example, get the WR Patterson to sign and have Hunter return. Once Da'rick realizes he has some competition and may be riding the pine, hopefully his attitude and work ethic will improve.

This is dumb. Be a real fan and deal with the team's ups and downs. Please don't bail on them now. The truth is they're tired, they have no depth, they are missing 3 of their best players(Hunter, J. Jackson, and Lathers) and 1 of their best players is Bray whose thumb is affecting him alot more than people think. Just hold on, be positive, look at this year's recruiting class(it's getting better). You gotta hold on and give Coach time.

Maybe he needs to shake things up a bit in coaching or maybe there are some bad apple players that need to go. I don't really know I'm not a football expert. However, I have a very vivid memory of a game back in September against Cinncinati in which we looked dominant then we lost some of our best players. Hold on to those good memories.

It's gonna get better. Being a fan means you're behind your team no matter what. I can't wait til next year cuz this group can only get better.

Easy, Hunter and Lathers will return. If Bray gets hurt, Worley will be more prepared to step in. Worley may actually challenge Bray for a starting position if Bray doesn't learn to study the game more. We will have another recruiting class, providing more depth and more competition. Not to mention an easier schedule.

Bump. I asked this question because it seems like there's a consensus that Cut helped change the character of a team that was deemed selfish the previous year. is this true? To me it would be a good example of how coaching impacts these things. There was probably more to it, but the coaches have a lot to do with the demeanor and selflessness of a team.
