  • There's a John Feinstein book in here somewhere:

  • This absolutely made my day. I can't wait to see the article talking about how CBJ and Tennessee are trending in the right direction while USCw and Lame Kiffin are going off the deep end.

I can just see the headline now, "Karma is a Butch." Coach Butch Jones and Tennessee returns to national prominence while the coach who spurned the university searches for a job. Doesn't get much better than that!

I know i really shouldn't wish for someone to fail. I know that's a terrible thing to want for someone...but i just can't help it. Not only did he screw us over, but he's been so cocky and arrogant with no results that I can't help but wish failure upon him. He doesn't do himself any favors while coaching, while interviewing, or simply existing. I hope that he gets fired and never coaches another game again.

Oh, c'mon. Terrible? Don't feel guilty at all.

You're not wishing that he gets sick or dies in a car crash, just taking pleasure in a bad guy's professional failure. Even then, remember that he's an extraordinarily rich weasel. It's not like his professional failure will take food out of his kids' mouths. So, yes, I will argue it's perfectly morally acceptable to take pleasure in his downfall.

I take pleasure in it; I will sleep just fine tonight; and I'll feel perfectly fine about it sitting in the church pew come Sun. morning.

    Kiffin lied.

...and our hopes and dreams died.

'Course, to be perfectly honest, I NEVER liked the guy, and I was stunned when he was hired. I hoped I was wrong about him, but Hammy was just suckered by the guy.

    Schadenfreude!
