The university wants to let Phil have his night in the Hall of Fame and tomorrow they will announce watch it!

His AD said he was going to make him the highest paid coach in the country if he had to. I wouldn't start jumping up and down yet.

That's fine, but what are they going to give him to pay his staff? Are they going to build facilities on the level of Tennessee? Are they going to match Tennessee's recruiting budget? Just paying HIM isn't necessarily enough.

I heard Auburt, but they got Malzan now. And Bileam from Wis to Arky, so it makes sense that you guys pursue and get strong. I saw the game at vandy and will prolly be back to check out a game , especially if strong is the coach. One of my favs in CFB.

If that is happening, super congrats, because that is a hell of a coach. One of you told me that Tenn dont have a lot of recruits compared to the rest of the south. But with Strong's ties to Florida, i would assume that you would have no problem getting all the kids you want.

I agree but the point I was trying to establish was when is the money to much for our fans. This whole 'blowup' thing is like Gruden redux.

He wants to coach in front of 100k rabid fans, and make some dough. This isn't all about $. I'm glad he was/is at UofL, he pulled us out of the gutter. Your recruiting will go off the charts. Offer and he's yours. Congrats

That depends. If the rumors that Golden and Fedora flat turned down interviews you would really be backed into a corner. You either pay Charlie or you give Butch Jones the shot he's been waiting all week for.
