The second Strong turned it into a bidding war we should have left. His AD came out and said publicly he was to do exactly what he just did, the only way Strong was going to leave was if he wanted to. Once that became clear we were just begging to get made a fool of, and that's exactly what happened.

Now Fedora has all the leverage and even if we can convince him to leave he's going to get a Dooley-like contract which will make it impossible to get rid of him if he fails.

Today Strong, tomorrow Fedora. I never thought I would live to see us turned down by TWO coaches from Basketball Schools... Hart better be ready to pull a rabbit out of a hat or we are in trouble...

At this point we have to turn to Butch Davis, I think, unless someone comes absolutely out of nowhere.

For those who don't know this Hart has never hired a football coach. He is on new turf...and his demeanor is not helping him...Cheek is a detriment as soon as he opens his mouth...we have a leadership problem which has been there since Dickey left. People who didn't like ADDD didn't realize the personalities he had to hold at bay to be able to operate effectively...Hamilton was recruited to be in place when Dickey left....the same people who hired Hamilton are the ones who hired Kiffin, Dooley, Cheek and Hart...any questions?

Yes but the story has suspect elements. One it's only quoting Louisville sources plus it sets his only interaction with UT was a brief chat with Cheek. That seems way off to me.

Again, I'll believe it when I see something OFFICIAL.

Fedora (who I like) has a legitimate reason to stay at UNC. Buzz around him is that he's worried about being "one and done" with the Tarheels would hurt his personal brand and have him appear to be a flight risk during the next coaching search.

The problem now is no matter who we hire, they'll appear to be damaged goods because they were so far down the list.

For instance, I really love Al Golden, but hiring him now does nothing to energize the fanbase for the next nine months.

Truly these are dark times...

Screw it at this point I say go get Roman he seems to be the only person pursuing UT. If we're going to suck might as well have a coach that wants to be here. CRAP!!!

Careful what you wish for! Everyone couldn't wait to run Fulmer off, and what did we get? Everyone couldn't wait to run Dulley out of town and what will we get? I am not suprise Charlie turn us down, now that Louisville is going to the ACC. Why go to toughest conference in the country and get run out town with one poor year or when 8-4 in the ACC gets you a contract extension.

Why would you choose Louisville over us, I was going to cheer for Louisville in the bowl but screw that I hope they get beat by 100
