I'm 51 years old and live in Middle Tennessee. I was a 26 year state employee. Unfortunately I decided to have back surgery a few years ago. I had ruptures in all of my 5 lower vertebrae. Unfortunately I'm currently up to seven surgeries and in far worse condition than I was when I started. I'm pretty much completely confined to bed. I am able to take a shower or two a week and go to the facilities and that's pretty much it. I went from being a guy who lived to hunt and fish and going to UT football games that can no longer do any of them. I have been in this condition for about six years I guess. I try not to remember. My marriage of 24 years ended and I'm alone with no help. Really just barely manage to get by. Not a pleasing story to read, but it's my life. God wants me to live it for some reason. So that is what I do.
