Hargis also said on the Ainge show that his source is a person that would've been on Gruden's staff. Hart cannot possibly screw this up over money, especially after his press conference comments of "money not being a deterant" in this search. I understand there is an obvious limit but if you're offering $9mm for him and his staff and he wants $10mm, YOU PAY HIM THE MONEY!!! It's really that simple.

Seems what really is going on, and what UT is leting the media know are two totally different things. They are in total spin control right now. It's not going to help though. If it indeed was over last week with Gruden why not come out and say something before this thing gained speed. Gruden is indeed prob not coming, and Ut Admin does not want people to know that they could have had him.

They've effectively sabotaged the next coach. The other coaches are good coaches, but it will be like they're getting sloppy seconds. Don't think this ordeal has went very smoothly

Did anybody actually expect this to just be easy? Or to go smoothly? If you did you should probably reconsider. The number of reporters, "sources", internet sites, and agents saying stuff equals chaos. Look at Auburn/ Charlie Strong. Compete mess. Charlie strong is not even a gigantic name. Gruden is a WHALE. This isn't easy. We are playing in the big leagues of negotiating. High stakes poker. Remember Gruden doesn't need the job. We need him.
