With or without Lawson, this young man is a take. He will fit the bill for the position and I believe Jones and company see that potential. Hope he makes the decision that is best for him in his life. Hope it is to wear Tennessee Orange

I hold no ill will towards a kid like Lawson that decides to honor his orginal commitment. Yes, it would have been great to pull off the big flip, but it didn't happen. If we get Brown we would still be in fairly good shape at the defensive end spot. Brown is the same height and 8-10 pounds heavier than Lawson, which may or may not mean his body is a little more developed for the SEC.

As I've said before on a lot of recruiting boards, the evaluations in recruiting are so subjective. Who is to say one kid that is a 6-foot-3, 250 pound defensive end running a 4.7 40 is a 5-star and another kid with the same numbers is a 3-star. Any kid plays high school ball at Dwyer is going to be ready to make the transition to the SEC if they can keep their head on straight and Brown seems to be that kind of kid if he does pick the Vols.

Jeez. Followed the Lawson thread to the Auburn board. They are putting together quite a class. We gotta start winning again! This is a rough schedule coming to be saying that, but we just gotta!

We need players such as this one, I trust Butch on his recruiting technique. I hope we are surprised tomorrow on the finish to our 2013 class. We would do well if 2-3 big catches are brought in tomorrow and it woule provide momentum going into 2014!! VFL!!
