Arnold: Derek Dooley has completed his task
Derek Dooley's time as the head coach of the Volunteers appears to be drawing to a close but that does not mean that the past three seasons were a waste. Looking closer we see that Dooley brought stability and structure to a program in its time of need and left the Orange and White a better program than he found it as.

I appreciate what Dooley inherited and he has stabilized the roster but beyond that, he really hasn't met expectations, IMO. He just hasn't won enough games this year and I think he is probably getting more credit than he deserves. I think there is a reason that Hart will have to pull the plug on him after only three years. If he was doing a good job, he would be allowed to coach another year.

He took a team that won 4 SEC games the year before he took over to a team that won 4 SEC games in 3 years, You can down vote all you want but it doesn't change the fact Derek Dooley will go down as the worst coach in the history of Tennessee football. Stop trying to spin it any other way.
We all know his record sux, and he didn't win enough games to maintain his job. If you open your other eye
