The Average Person

  • Has over 40,000 distinct thoughts in a day and over 80% of them are negative. This happens despite more things being right in their lives than wrong.

    I hope we don't overlook the importance of those who have signed in this class and the needs that have been met. We have 21 new men who have committed to being Vols For Life and have done so despite our losing record from a year ago. They believe in where we are going and the direction of our program. They believe that they can be a stop gap for any glaring needs that we had.

    We owe it to them and the coaches to be sure we fully support this class and their efforts going forward. Those who have chosen to play elsewhere have either found a better for for them or don't believe: either way it's done. We may meet them on the field at some point and at that point I expect our players to make them wish they had chosen us on NSD 2012.

    We have a great class and a great staff. We are on the rise and this class will do work and pay dividends early. We have much more for which to be thankful than not. Go Vols!

  • Great post, AO. Most of my Vol football thoughts today have been positive.

    I save the negative thoughts for Saban, Petrino, Fewer Miles, etc.
