I think we will see a much improved defense this week in large part because MO's battered Oline. I strongly believe that an effective defense starts success at the line of scrimmage. Look for Big Dan to have a field day with Mitch Morse's replacement Redshirt freshman Brad McNulty.

On paper we should win. If the Troy defense shows up it could be the tonic that Mizzou needs on offense. If anything remotely like the defense from the NCST game(not really good) shows up we could have a very good day. Wouldn't that be nice. +1

Because of the banged up Mizzu o-line, I think our d-line gets significant pressure and makes our dbs look way better. If Franklin is under pressure and our LBs protect that 10-20 yard gap that has been ever-present, our D will look a lot better. Vols 41-24.

Good report Wes. Now that our Vols have got the "come from behind" notch in their belts, I'd like to see the "won it going away" notch added. Orange. GO VOLS!

I would like to see it, but I am not as confident as you seem to be about that happening. I agree with an earlier post: Teams have learned how to open up our secondary, especially over the middle/down the seam. It's been there for every team starting with NCState. Unless our defense really changes, the blueprint is laid out for Mizzou to follow. Look what Troy did. All those effective draw plays, too. I will not believe that Troy's Oline is that much better than Mizzou's even with all of Mizzou's injuries.
I would love to see us stomp, but this Big Orange team is going to have to show me. Their play this year has made me nervous about every game.
