With Sentimore declaring, Tennessee needs an impact DE badly..... I hope UT is making the same pitch...

Sentimore was 90% of the time going to be a DT at 300lbs
No doubt we need elite DEs and pass rushers.......we really need a few DEs in this class bc in a year we only have J Williams and L Lewis basically......maybe Vereen but he is not a hand in the groung guy in 2014 by any means

early playing time and good friends with jenkins might be enough to sale lawson ...man this would put us on the map and maybe catch some other big recruites..not jumping the gun here
but i like our chances with lawson..plus thigpen recruite him at auburn?
i think we have 3 good reasons to pitch at lawson.
1-jenkins-best friends
2-recruiter in thig
3-early playing time and its tennessee

You still make the pitch tho. You tell Lawson you're losing one of your starting DEs. That's how I would play off it if I was recruiting for Tennessee.

This kid is not worried about competition but I get your point.
This will be a OM vs UT battle. Not crazy about him visiting OM after UT but we have early PT (like every team says now more often than not), R. Jenkins, his trainer and other people close to him wanting him to go to UT, his brother has not played much at Clemson (IIRC), and playing in the SEC (over Clemson and UNC) + Graham/ Thigpen etc and a staff that is fresh with energy and zero hotseat like our former staff had issues with of course
