But it seems different this year. Last year we were all hopeful that we'd have a better season than 2010, excited about Hunter, Bray, Rodgers, etc. But, if I remember correctly, Dooley was cautioning everybody that we were still a young team and and would be starting 348 true freshmen and sophomores. Turns out that he was right.

His willingness to speak the truth in the past is one of the reasons that I believe him this year.

And what is he saying this year? That we'll be more competitive, that we have more talent and depth. He's not guarantying that we'll win every game, but that we can stand toe-to-toe with anyone in the league. He's also saying that the team needs to learn how to win in the fourth quarter when we're down by a touchdown or two. IMO, if we can do that, it will be a very successful season - regardless of record.
