Now we are looking at coaches like Golden, Fisher, Fedora, and Strong...
I mean that is exciting stuff IMO. They are all young energetic coaches who have won, can recruit, and can coach, I was just such a non believer in Dooley I feel no matter who comes in will be an improvement, and a big one.
I'm excited to recruit at a high level. I'm excited to not have the in-state prospects immediately dismiss us. It's fun waking up in the morning, checking the board and seeing new information, all the time. I'm enjoying this, the endless possibilities is entertaining to me. Gruden would've been awesome, but I am intrigued by the others. All have strengths.
Fedora- My least favorite but he has recruited well at UNC, won big at S. Miss, and was highly thought of by Jeremy Foley. Good enough for me sign him up.
Strong- Florida connections. Defensive Coach. Screams Toughness. IMO the highest Upside, but least proven
Fisher- Recruit Recruit Recruit.. Guy get's it done and would build a great staff.
Golden- My Man Crush, doesn't get any respect from 90% of the board but that's okay, Miami posters have come on here and have vauged for him. They see the big picture. They believe in him and so would I.
We can't go wrong. That's my theory. All 4 could and I think would win here. Exciting times. Go Vols...
P.S. My #1 choice is Butch Davis.
