Ryan may disagree, but I'm starting to like this time of year in the recruiting cycle. Although, I don't care for the dead period stuff, because it favors teams in the spotlight IMO, this is when teams and recruits really start jockeying down the home stretch to NSD. Examples from today were LaRue de-committing from USC, Brantley de-committing from Florida, and several recruits committing at other schools. Also, teams across the country are beating the airways and bandwidth in order to get OVs from the best talent they can find, while still working to influence the young minds of the next recruiting class. This is strategy 101, and some staffs work it well while others struggle to figure it out. I thing we've got a new group that knows how to work it well, and its showing with some of the offers for the 14 class. So please, sit back and let these guys work, and try not to let it impair your physical or mental well-being.

There may be a few more de-commits from UF after last night. That was REALLY UGLY. I'm embarrassed they beat us. That's the most undisciplined coach and team I have seen in quite a while.

+1 to you and awbo. I'll admit during the coaching search I wasn't completely sold on Strong. But after that performance I stand corrected. That was a very well coached Louisville team that dismantled Muschump an the not so might gators. To think that a Big East team did what our Vols have been unable to do for the past 8 years was embarrassing. CBJ needs to parlay that game into helping the Vols remove that mental block.

Coach Strong definitely handed us a template for how to beat the UF defense. Louisville moved the chains on the gator defense all night long. Not sure how many third downs they converted, but it was over 8 and may have been close to 100% conversion rate. Don't think they punted all night long... Great game plan by Strong, and excellent execution by that offense.
