Let’s look at three of the biggest keys — or, simply put, Three Things — heading into Tennessee’s game tonight at Auburn.

  • We've gotta have it. Here's hoping espn3 doesn't let me down.

  • I think we take this one, though I won't give a final score. Hopefully we're not looking ahead to Saturday!!!

  • I would love to see Derek Reese play more minutes off the bench. He is an athletic 6’8 player with pretty decent 'per-game' stats when compared to the rest of the team. His FG% is higher than Moore, McBee, Edwards, Lopez and Trae Golden. He is fifth on the team in FT% and 3P% but has played in fewer games than every other active player on the team save Rob Murphy. What's more, Reese has only turned over the ball five times all season; that's equals the second best on the team at turnovers per-game. Now before I get DV'd for armchair-coaching, allow me to qualify my statement by noting that I recognize a player's worth is not the sum of his stats. There is no question that CCM sees and knows much more than I do. I simply believe the stats suggest Reese should see the floor more than he currently does. Thoughts?

Well said but I believe him to be a defensive liability. Also, it would be interesting to see how many points they are scoring why he is on the floor.

  • Considering the way they've played against some teams,i.e. Ga., Mem.
I don't see how that he could be so much worse than the others who go out and shoot airballs. Our overall record says to me that perhaps coach should be willing to try other people on the court. What would be the downside, we miss the tournament? We may not make that anyway.

  • Thank you. It's as simple as that, Moore, McBee, Golden, and Richardson must step up when the D tries to shut down the other two.

Obviously, no one will shut down McRae, but when they focus on him and Stokes, the others have to produce and loosen the D up.

I respect Stokes HUGELY for saying that he should still make plays when the defense doubles and triples him, but I do not hold him to production when he's tripled. I hope the other players have the same sense of determination when they see the big man being swarmed.
