NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Let’s look at three of the biggest keys — or, simply put, Three Things — that we discussed heading into UT's 58-48, SEC Tourney loss to Alabama on Friday.

Without reading... too many 3's, way too soft on screen at top of the key, noone on Tennessee who can dribble very well
1) A true point guard.
2) Another McRae like scoring threat ( hopefully Hubbs)
3) Last and certainly not least Jeronne Maymon's return.
On the current team if one player has an off night against a middle of the road team or better there's a good chance we lose. I think with the addition of the above three things we become a very scary team for opponents. jmo
Every time I watch this team, and I love them, I can't help but notice that whoever we're playing seems to dribble penetrate and dish or take it to the rim (or around it) for high percentage shots and when we penetrate we don't get as close to the basket and end up kicking it out for a new set and sometimes a shot.
Golden just doesn't have the quickness and foot speed to produce against good competition. Hoping for a bid tomorrow but not feeling too good about our chances.
It's puzzling how Alabama (and Missouri last Saturday) got to the lane so easily. We've gone the entire year without figuring out how to come of the screen at the top of the key and stop the offense from going to the hole. As far as the missed foul shots go, there is no excuse. Every college player should shoot 70+% from the charity line.
