The kid looks great. If it was a minor injury or a major injury and the kid is back up to top potential and he can have a skill set that is capable of being used his first year on campus Im sure he well be used. Like DCVOL said, we do have two proven backs but if someone can step in and do a better job than are two proven runners im sure CBJ will not neglect to put them in the game. What we have now looked better last year than it did in '11 but if you bring in a guy that can make the big play and have the break out runs that result in long TDs then he will play. Lane nor Neal had really big time long runs for TDs last year. We need that finishing big play ability because it is such a momentum boost and makes it harder for the other team to prepare for when you have a guy that can break the long one and finish the job. Lane had some big runs last year but always got pushed out of boundsbetween the 10-5 yrd line. Some of those resulted in field goal attempts and with our kickers last year those all weren't converted. We have to play the back that can finish, not the one that has proven himself to be able to carry the load. I think this was an important pick up.

I'm very excited to see this kid in orange. His video showed great speed with a dose of that CP type shiftiness. He is a real diamond in the rough IMO. I'm willing to bet his rating would indicate that a little better had he not had his knee injury. Good get for Butch and staff though! Go Vols!
