up until a couple of years ago i would've pulled for Vandy and never thought twice about it... back when they knew their place... but i'm really starting to hate those.....

USC is the better football team, and is more of a threat to Tennessee in the East than Vandy. The Cocks having an early loss serves Tennessee much better than Vandy losing the first of six or seven.
Anything could happen in a season opener. Using this logic, I would prefer a Vandy win, though I could not in any sense root for them.
I'm just an interested, objective observer -- kind of like Wes and Ryan at a Tennessee game.
