  • I was born in 89 but Condredge has to be mine... never saw him play live ( obviously ) but I have had the chance to meet him many many times and he always remembers my name and takes the time to talk to me more than a casual hello. Reggie (because that guy was a monster) Peyton and EB are all close seconds.

Mo Couch is by far and away my favorite player on the current team

  • You young guys need to go watch some Dale Carter footage! He was a HITTER, not always the cleanest hits, but he would bring the wood. He also was electric on return teams.

Bobby Majors, Jackie Walker, Bill Rutter, Curt Watson, Paul Naumoff , Dewey Warren, Larry Seivers, Stanley Morgan, Condredge Holloway and Bobby Scott just to name a few

Those guys were the ones that I enjoyed watching when I first became a Vols fan. Add in Jack Hacksaw Reynolds, Steve Kiner as my early favorites, but Bobby Majors was my favorite.

Throughout the years, there have been so many, but to list a few favorites, Reggie White heads the list along with Chris White, Reggie Cobb, Chuck Webb, Jimmy Noonan, Craig Puki, Jerod Mayo, Eric Berry, Dale Carter, Tim Irwin, Tony Thompson, Heath Shuler and some guy named Peyton. Andy Spiva is also an all-time favorite.

Have to add in the stable of RBs during the Fulmer era that included Travis Stephenson, Travis Henry, and Jamal Lewis.

  • Peyton, Reggie and EB, of course. But others are Raynoch Thompson (anyone who breaks his own nose and knocks himself out hitting other people is good with me), Jesse Mahelona, Jerod Mayo (Kills me that he plays for the Pats), Deon Grant, Peerless, Bryson, Goodrich, Meachem, Swain (vastly underrated IMO), Casey Clausen, CP, Hardesty, Henderson, Darwin Walker, Witten, Travis Henry, Travis Stephens, Michael Munoz, and Jason Allen.

    Did I leave anyone out?

Why don't we all reminisce for a second? Who are your guys' favorite Vols ever? Or who do you remember the most? For me, well maybe its just because I was born in 1994 and don't remember a lot of the older guys, but the player that I adored most during my childhood was Casey Clausen. I still have a small, orange #7 jersey from a Christmas one year (2002 maybe?) that has faded a lot over the years; but it is still one of my most prized possessions. That period from 2000-2003 contain some of my most favorite childhood moments. I remember him most as a kid, watching his games in my dad's lap on Saturday afternoons...ah, the memories...what about you guys? Who do y'all remember the most?

Dick Huffman, Doug Atkins, Hank Lauricella, Bobby Scott, Bobby Majors, Bowden Wyatt, tailback Johnny Majors. as you might suspect, I am long in the tooth!

Great list, Viking, as well as UTBooter's that you quoted. My earliest favorites were Dewey Warren, Johnny Mills and Austin Denny. Steve Kiner and Jack Reynolds were the best pair of LBs, IMO, that Tennessee has ever had on the field.

Condredge and my high school classmate Larry Seivers were the best of my otherwise dreary college years (lousy football, great experience otherwise!). Reggie was awesome. Shuler was my favorite UT quarterback until No. 16 came along. Peyton, Al, Peerless, Jamal, the Travises and Dale Jones... on and on..

We have had some great players. And we will have many great players to add to the list in the future.

  • There are so many, Richmond Flowers (my father brought me back a #22 Jersey from a game he went to when I was little), Larry Sievers, Haskel Stanback (STANBACK FOR THE PLUNGE!!!), Eddie Brown (Had my picture taken with Eddie Brown when I was in the 4th grade- He played in a charity basketball game at my school one time), Stanley Morgan, Hacksaw, Condridge Holloway.... (Met Condridge a few years back on the UT campus!)

    Ahhh.......Childhood memories..........
