I really cant stand him, but he has won with less. If he won at UT everyone here would love him. Kinda like Calipari. You only like him if he is your coach.

Last year was Franklin's first and he has them in 2 straight bowls, first time in Vandy's history. Really do not know how I would feel about it as I do not think it will happen.

Ya, I think this next coach is proven or has really close ties to the university. The contract for a proven coach will be big with a huge buyout if he leaves or if he is fired. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't bring in a board like ole miss did during their last search. I think Majors & Fulmer should have some input in this if they still love & care for ole UT & are willing.

Franklin may be a good fit at UT. He has shown the ability to recruit in the State of TN and has to deal with the lack of talent that other schools have. ALso with Vandy's rigid academic requirements has required him to be also be able to recruit nationally which I think may make him a good fit for UT. Like him or hate him, but it seems that recruits love him as he seems to overachieve in recruiting b/c Vandy really doesn't have the other things that schools like UT offer. I would put him in the conversation and at least interview him.

You couldn't put those two together in a room without a fist fight breaking out. Then there would be at least one heart attack and a major scandal!

He didn't advocate him as "his choice", he said he would be a good hire. He's not the only coach that Todd said he would like to see here. There are a lot of good possibilities, and a lot better than the Nashville Knucklehead.
