Dave Hart has to know that we will not accept a bargain hire. He wants full seats? We need a coach with experience and a drive to GIVE US a reason to fill Neyland Stadium every home game in the fall.

We do not know this. There are so many things we do not know because Hart has ran this search the right way - quietly. We cannot ASSUME anything..... I'm not trying to scold or berate, however I think we just need to let Hart do his job. He has been down this road before - he knows what he is doing.

agree with your second part... but have a hard time believing that Strong had an offer prior to Gundy saying no.

So in the know that the OSU rivals board is saying Allen also said Les Miles wasn't leaving.....right up until the press release that he took the LSU job.
I don't know the guy from Adam, but the OSU rivals board isn't putting much into his comments.
Having said that, I would be shocked if Gundy left.

A U of L source told me the school is working on renegotiating Charlie Strong's contract this hour with help of Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLC. "Anything can happen at this point" the U of L source said. But U of L is making its push to keep Charlie Strong.

If it's not Gundy or Strong then I think it brings us to Butch Jones. Fedora seems hung up on his reputation and I don't blame him really. With the way Jones has been waiting, it seems he may have been the back up plan all along.

Robert Allen is the mouthpiece of the university. He is a huge homer and has been wrong plenty of times. While he could be right this time, he could easily be wrong again. I don't think anything is final until it's final and most of us really don't know what is going on.
Gundy is playing a dangerous game if he's not really interested in leaving.
