  • Another key to remember is he hasn't played a bunch if these big games due to frosh yr and then last yr injury. He is learning and building still while we all expect him to just be perfect

    "Yet" is the key word there. He has started and finished a grand total of 2--count 'em, 2 (UF and UGA this year)--games against superior conference opponents with all his weapons.

    Remember, he didn't start until Memphis his frosh year, Hunter had the ACL at UF last year, and Bray broke his hand in the UGA game last year.

    I see progress, and I see a kid who cares. Both are good signs for the future, IMO, although I do think he would likely be well served by another year of college ball. I had my doubts about him until yesterday, but his performance, coupled with his reaction at failure, says volumes.

  • IMO he fought hard all game long and for every negative thing that can be said I can think of at least two positive things to say about the young man and I am a UGA fan through and though. I know the last three pocessions didn't go his way, but you gotta keep in mind he playing in a hostile enviroment against a team that fighting to keep it's season alive. I know losing sucks but this team overcame alot to fight to get back into the game and put itself in position to secure a win. My hats off to the entire team, but to blame it on Bray is unfair IMO there were a couple of key drops he put the ball were it needed to be, one to # 84 that was a sure TD and one to the running back that was sure first fown late in the game, and I don't know how many time he showed composure in the pocket when UGA was lucky enough to get pressure where it looked like we might get a sack or force him to throw it away where he burned us with shuttle passes or first down throws. Hell I am a UGA fan but I was proud of how well he played, guys he is human and it is tough as hell to beat a good team on road with them bearing down with time running out. This game could have went the other way on a number of other plays not just on the last 3 turnovers. I know it hard to swallow the last 3 turnovers but keep perspective if one of the other drops had been caught then the young man wouldn't have had the weight of the world on his shoulders. I think it is the same with all fan bases we lose sight sometimes that these young men are human.

  • I like Tyler a lot at Qb for us. I think he's a a great competitor but at times he needs to realize he is a thermostat for the offense. When he panics and reacts negatively, the team follows. Attitude reflects leadership and when you play that position you're the defacto leader. I liked his body language a lot more yesterday than I did against Florida. He's growing up in front of us.

    I think if CDD and CJC could teach Tyler one thing that he would take to heart, it would you win half the game in the film room.

  • I really like Tyler. I think he is a good quarterback with the potential to be great. IMO i think he stays for his senior year. He has the NFL ready arm, but mentally i dont think he is ready. I also feel that Patterson will stay also, he has all the tools but not completely ready. I see hunter leaving though

  • I don't recall Tyler making any bad decisions last night. He had a tipped ball get picked, an inaccurate ball get picked, and fumbled. He missed a couple passes to Hunter, threw one too high to CP in the end zone, and that sums up his costly mistakes.

    Tyler went through his reads nicely last night, made several NFL throws, and showed great leadership qualities. I think he played a very good game. Take away the inaccurate balls and it would've been great. Take away the fumble and it would've been perfect. Watch the NFL today and let me know if you see a QB play perfect.

    I'll bet anyone a year's subscription that nobody else scores 44 on UGA this year. I can't believe people are actually disappointed with Tyler's performance.
