Will earn my keeps here BUT asked Wes to respond to multiple tweets before I repeated what I am hearing and never got a response. Felt like you deserved to hear it.

    I will say UT plans to counter with an offer that Strong will prob not turn down. It is in the 4s

    Posts like this make no sense and make my head hurt because the OP has no clue how things really work. If UT got a "no" then the PR department at the school where the coach is staying takes about 30 seconds to leak the information to the media. That hasn't happened, as Wes has mentioned multiple times. All we know is that no decision has been announced made yet. More likely is that UT has multiple negotiations going on.

    I do not know why everyone is blasting you on here? Why is what you're saying any different then the rest of the BS posted on this board? No different. The posts by the so called insiders/experts is just news that anyone can find with a quick Google search 20-30 minutes before it is then re-posted here. And this is "What you pay for"? Just check. Go back read some of the previous expert posts, then Google that same info. Google shows the time of the original article. Guarantee you it's will be at least 20 minutes before it reappears here. No inside info. No awesome scoop. Just, here's what SI or ESPN says. So you go Smokey, post the rumors. Hell, makes for good conversation. We can still just keep up with the real news with a quick search like everyone else.

    Just a bunch of "butthurt" Vol fans. Sucks because you had some good info for these folks but they are too blind to realize it. Strong would have been a good hire. Looks like the Vols are still the "team of tomorrow".

    Just heard that no one knows where these Jones rumors are even coming from. No one was even offered today because they went back to the drawing board to see if they could get some of these academic concernes fixed prior to any more embarrassment.

  • Alright. He has not been offered BUT IF we cannot change some of the academic challenges that have turned off MULTIPLE coaches he actually might get an offer. Sorry guys. If the "money" and Hart can talk some since into Cheek you will NOT see Jones named as the head coach. Lets hope "money" wins this one.

    UT has NOT made an official offer to Jones. Could they? Yes. Will they? hopefully not!
