Yes, it's true, i've been hard on this staff, but only because of my deep desire to get back to competing with the top teams in our conference, and players like Jenkins are exactly what we need. He is a flat playmaker and a big time talent. Very impressed by our staffs ability to flip this guy from Clemson. Great hands, elusive, and strong. Love this commitment. Hope this starts us on a roll to close this class out.

Hey Cali it is all I want to see is Jones showing he can recruit the top guys,it is all I have been saying. He gets 2 or 3 more TOP 247 guys and you will not hear me question him or staff again. I just want to be shown he and staff can get the job done before i start following blindly without questioning anything they do. I have never said he can't get the job done just that we aren't going to compete for the SEC if he keeps recruiting low rated guys and i do not think that is an unreasonable assumption.

Sorry to disappoint. Like I've said many times before, im not against CBJ. Im against mediocrity. We need good players to compete. Jenkings is a good, and potentially great player. Im thrilled to get his commitment and commend the staff for flipping the kid from a pretty dang good Clemson program. Continued recruiting successes like this are what is necessary if we want to have winning seasons and get back in the national discussion.

Didn't even think about how this would affect North's recruitment by Clemson. I bet they would hate us if we stole both these big time receivers from them! Hope we can.

Rivals has us ranked #25. Jenkins is ranked a 3 star there. but definetly is a 4star. rankings?

One other site has Tennessee ranked No. 30, and another site has the Vols at No. 43. The 247Sports team rankings have UT at No. 40. It's actually the 247Composite — which compiles rankings from several different sites to provide a comprehensive view of what most analysts across all networks think of a team's class — in which Tennessee is ranked No. 37. In this case, it's the top-25 ranking that's a bit of an outlier.
