Ryan wasn't this the kid who would have basicly commited at the Orange and White game if he had been given an offer? It seems like I remember him having lots of interest in UT and Vandy at the time. I know in the article it says that he didn't get the offer until a month after his visit.

IMO, it's more Jones trying to hold together a recruiting a class. Dooley was notorious for offering 3* players...perhaps because he knew he had no shot at higher-rated guys. I think Jones will begin to offer high-rated players once he gets his legs underneath him. He seems like the kind of coach that doesn't take no for an answer.
