CHARLESTON, S.C. — Tennessee's rough stretch didn't get rougher Wednesday night at College of Charleston, but it definitely didn't get better, either.

  • We have to give Martin time. Our point guard problems are killing the offense and Martin's options are limited. However, the lack of effort both offensively and defensively is really a cause for concern. We were bigger and quicker and simply stood around for long stretches of the game and let them be the aggressors. I'd rather watch reserves get blown out by 50 than watch the starters stand around.

  • Give him time? Time for what? He has had better athletes than half of the teams we have lost to. I have to listen to trash talk from Austin Peay. This is a joke and it ain't funny.

  • Umm correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Pearl lose to some really overmatched teams last year with Scotty Hopkins and Tobias? I was a big time pearl supporter and but like Dooley I'm going to give Zo time before I start calling to fire him too. Its a totally different deal now........ Melvin Goins is missed in a big way right now.

Comparing Dooley's situation to Martin's is comparing apple to oranges. There is talent on this basketball team. Yes there is less than last year but 6 losses this early in the season is unacceptable. At this rate we will be lucky to win an SEC game. I want him to succeed personally. I love the work ethic instilled into the players but a good coach can put it all together.

  • I am reserving judgement on Martin...but could we see a little more passion from the head coach from the bench????

  • Does not take too much time to realize that Miller and Maymon should make up up our post instead of all this Hall-pass crap that we are being force fed. Hall can't dribble, hustle after missing shot or committing a turnover, and he is slower releasing a pass to a perimeter player than Miller when facing a zone defense as well.

CCM can try to shoot that St. Louis chatter that Miller was an inferior choice against the zone all he wants...not buying it. It's Miller-time in K-Town or this team will not win 10 games...Oakland, Austin Peay, & College of Charleston...we are playing without everything CCM was brought here to instill...defense, tenacity, and fundamentals...really? It doesn't take 9 games for fans to realize it's gonna be a long 3 years unless he starts sitting repeat offenders like Golden, Hall, and Tatum for failure to play smart basketball and defense.
