Excellent way to start our Monday morning with this detailed info on our Vols. Saturday was disappointing but I doubt anyone was surprised that Alabama dominated us. It is interesting to see we are almost two TD dogs at Mizzou. Until we prove we can be competitive in SEC road games it is hard to blame the odds makers. Still, I like our chances going into Columbia much better than I did going into Tuscaloosa. If Worley isn't healthy I can see Dobbs bringing a spark to our offense that has been lacking. We will need everyone to play smart football, eliminate mistakes, cut down on mental errors and hope the ball bounces our way in order to earn a victory over a tough Mizzou team. I feel optimistic that Team 117 will win a minimum of 6 games with the hope for more. 6+ wins would be a huge bonus for the program to get our kids the extra practice and national exposure that goes with playing in a bowl game. 10 years ago I would have never dreamed that the Tennessee Football program would be mired in such mediocrity that a 6 win season and an invitation to the Music City Bowl would be seen as progress. Vol Nation has suffered through the worst 5 year stretch in program history. I believe we have the right coach in Butch Jones to rebuild our storied program and return our beloved Big Orange to being an elite team in the SEC. Tennessee fans just need to be patient as this rebuilding project will take several years. 6-6 this season would be very good and 7-5 would be great. Winning a bowl game would be another brick for the foundation going into 2014. Our schedule next year isn't easy and another 6-8 win season is likely along with 7-8 wins in 2015 unless the Vols pull some upsets along the way. The year 2016 and beyond is when we will know for sure if Butch Jones is the coach we all hope and believe him to be. This is when we will expect 10+ wins again legitimately for the first time in a long time. The future looks bright and almost every Tennessee fan I know has a good feeling about CBJ and his staff. If they can recruit at the high level we have seen projected for the next 3 years we will have the talent on the field to compete with Alabama, Oregon, Florida, Georgia, etc., Then we can talk about how great the late 2010s and the 2020s are going to be rather than being content to reminiscence about our Decade of Dominance in the 1990s. I also like the positive reports I am reading about our BasketVols. We are not getting any respect from the national polls and media and I believe this team likes it like that. They have a chip on their shoulder and I don't believe they will be satisfied with any result short of a deep run into the NCAA Tournament. Will this be the year we finally get past the Sweet 16? I certainly hope so. This will be a fun group of kids to watch battle for the SEC Title against that semi-pro team up in Lexington and the (allegedly) mighty Gators. I hope to get to see the Vols in action when I visit my family early in the New Year or I will make the drive up the I-10 to Baton Rouge to see them play LSU. It certainly is great to be a Tennessee Vol!
Geaux Big Orange!!!
Any idea what the injury to Worley's thumb is? Sprain? Bruise? Jammed? It is probably not a cracked bone because that normally requires a cast.
BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!

I know Ryan is tired of saying it over and over ("The numbers will work themselves out"). but I will say this. If it gets down to a numbers perspective based on our current commit list, I would take Charles Mosley over another JUCo lineman. I think were pretty well good with Defensive linemen after Mosley I mean look at how well we stocked up last year and are adding to this year. We have Carr, Vereen, Brown, Miller, and Vickers from last year and now this year we already got Barnett, Hendrix, Henderson, Lambert, with a possibility for Mosley. We wont need anymore D-linemen after this (At least for this year) do we really Ryan?
