Very solid source on gruden

  • alright just talked to a very solid source on gruden, and he is very interested in the tennessee job and would be bringing rich bisaccia with him. source said the only hang up is dave hart, that he doesnt really want to get rid of dooley with the buyout and all and that gruden will need a bunch of money for himself and his staff.... that is apparently the only hang up in the deal but he is def interested. so if hart agrees to give him the money for staff and all i think its a done deal. now before everyone starts hating i wasnt all into this gruden thing i was more for chris petersen but hey this has changed my mind.

    believe me or not but that is a very reliable source

    thanks for the info. I think Hart would be insane to keep Dooley, that shouldn't even be an issue for him.

  • Hey you info is straight on, but I believe it may be a little out dated. Things were at that point three weeks ago and I do believe that they have def moved a little more foward.

  • 5 to 1 odds 'it falls through'. I think if Gruden returns to the college game he waits and sees how all the other dominos fall first and IMO UT can't wait that long. If Gruden comes to NCAAF I believe it'll be at LSU if Miles goes to the Cowboys or Texas if Mack feels the heat and retires rather than getting the boot. Just my opinion. I have no information to support it.

  • i dunno there is also the possiblilty about chip kelley leaving oregon for philly and stuff too but i dont see les miles going anywhere or mack brown he has already tried to leave once and they begged him to stay. i think tennessee would be the best job for him and one of the best jobs available in the country especially with being in the sec... having the facilities we do and our stadium...and if your getting paid more than saban why would you not come here

    Ok here are two rumors that i was told tonight on gruden. First coming from grudens nephew apparently it is in the works and looks like he is coming. Second coming from johns wife. She would love to come back home and is pushing for him to take the job. He would not consider working for Hamilton for one last time it was open and timing was off. They are ironing out contract issues and going back and forth on money. All of this was coming from family friends. I have no idea if its true, but thats what some of his family has been saying. Flame away. Just thought i would share.

    sorry to spoil your opinion based statement, but IF gruden does plan on coaching in the college ranks there is only one destination on his mind and that is rocky top. Tennessee has all that is needed to win the Gruden sweepstakes (again in the college ranks, and again if he chooses college over the league). Whether the poeple who make the decisions decide to give him his requirements is another thing. Other then that, its NFL.

    My point wasn't that you were wrong or had no source. My point was that you have to do a little convincing about why you're credible. Plenty of people are/were just throwing stuff out there.

    I told you thanks after you said you found out from a friend of Bisaccia's.

    Also, thanks for the info on something that seems to be true. All too many people just make stuff up, so I appreciate people like you bringing real stuff...makes this place interesting.

    I find it odd that you are a different person than the person who started this thread. Why the name change but only by adding a "1" so people would think it was the same person?
