With the first-practice buzz in the books and an 8:20 a.m. start on the docket, Tuesday was more of a get-through-it day for the UT football team. But it wasn't that bad.

Think back over the past several years where we played great in the first half but ran out of gas in the second half. Sounds like cbj will have this team in shape this year and hopefully getting tired in the fourth quarter will not be an issue.

I love this type of football. Last year we would be at the line of scrimmage. The D would be getting set I was screaming snap it. Next year I will miss the first second or two of a lot of plays, I hope.

Randolph and King have good attitudes. I hope they are also gaining that sense of urgency that CBJ is talking about. When coaches can only coach players for 20 hours a week, the urgency is real.

Would be a good research item for staff to see how C Mich and Cincy scored/defended on 4th qtr vs opponents. Were they better conditioned as shown on the scoreboard?
