  • I believe he could be a great RB for the Volnation. He is a Legacy player. By way of his mother being an alum. It would be an awesome sight for us and his mother seeing him run through the "T" on Saturdays!! Go Vols!!!

  • Nobody but nobody is naming Tennessee as their choice after meeting the coaching staff. That says alot. NSD will say the most. All in all it does not look good. If Dooley was incompetent then we have a measuring stick by how his staff what few of them there were performed when Kiffin bailed. They held that class together and added Justin Hunter a five star receiver. Right now what few recruits we are adding to make up for the losses are two and three star athletes. Prediction is Skipper is the next to leave and probably to Arkansas. Sad.

Well lets wait til NSD before we even judge our haves and have nots. And regardless of what we end up with we are still looking better with the new staff. The stability alone makes the program better. Something we haven't had in years. I mean really, I'm over the negative judgements when we are in a better place and we are supposed to be VFL! If anybody is tired of what's going on in the new era of the Volnation then follow another nation!

Hold out for NSD before you get sad, bro. A lot of those big commits in Dooley's first class didn't come until late either. Not promising anything, we might whiff on all these, but there are a lot of big fish with plenty of good things to say after their visits. At this stage, the players that haven't shut it down already aren't going to commit within a few hours of being in campus. We've got momentum, Butch needs to close them out.

Your post is a joke right? If so it is very humorous! Spare us all please!!!!! I find it incredible the shallow mindset some people choose to take because they are so impatient and narrow minded. Ever thought about the possible commits that could be reading these threads? No....of course not! If I were a possible commit and I read your post, there is No way I would feel good about joining a program with you as a spokesperson!!!! I for one feel you are completely off the reservation in your comparison of Dooley and CBJ!!!! We are getting some very solid talent, and you are the all knowing all seeing maha raji who sees everything we don't says our staff and recruits are "sad"....i think a trip to the doc requesting an increase in your Zoloft would be a good start to opening your eyes to the
real world! You my good sir are sad....very sad!

I understand and agree with your posts. Being concerned does not mean one is a nega vol. The verbal commits are not rolling in as many had hoped. I thought it was the sign of times as many of the recruits want to announce in front of cameras on signing day. However, other schools are not having this problem. I don't blame Butch as he had to build relationships in less than two months. Time will tell but it does reinforce that our program is not relevant as many of the recruits stated they know little about UT. HOPEFULLY this new staff will change this.

  • How many of his 9 post are worth reading ? I am not into pumping sunshine- but not into dogging the staff. Positives at least we can follow them on Twitter and they tweet. Positive comments from the visitors and cdd basically stopped recruiting as noted by many respected posters. So
with the days total of nine post I will trust the others and let you exercise your rights to speak freely. I just choose not to read/listen to them

Understood. I didn't dog the staff nor previous staff. I just stated I understand his concern. I think there is time to land a top 20 class but will support Butch regardless. I am new to the board so I am not familiar with others who post. I am staying positive, yet cautious.
    Regardless, GO VOLS!

Whoa now, the guy is expressing HIS opinion which is as viable as yours or mine. Contrary to your opinion, I can't see where we are more stabile with the current staff. By definition, with a lot of turnover, as we have had in the past several years, our stability has not improved...at least until Jones and Co have been around longer than the past staff.

I greatly fear and already see signs of a segment of our fan base raising expectations on this staff beyond reality. Using twitter does not guarantee success on the field. I don't disagree that Jones is working hard but the previous staffs worked hard too. The new staff can't be expected to be our silver bullet, it's not that easy. Improving our program will take a lot of time. This season we face huge challenges. Coming off an o-fer SEC record, losing our most productive offensive players and facing a schedule tougher than we've had recently we risk a severe disappointment if we make this staff out to pull off the impossible. Lets give the new guys a fair chance please.

IF you count Ky, we won 1 SEC game, not that that changes your point. I totally agree with your post!

I agree and a fair chance is all I'm saying. And the fact that we have a staff here that is to their credit a more winning staff, a more complete staff, and a staff who not only sees the challenges of rebuilding that lie ahead and meets it head on, but they seem to really be enjoying the very first few stages of this building of the program.

Look , the bottom line is that we have been burned by Kiffin yes, let down by Dooley yes, and the new staff is coming in here with something that neither Kiffin nor Dooley had. A proven winning record. But lets wait and see what they do. Dont crown them just yet. I'm all for that. I get it ok. We shouldnt crown them just yet. But I'm not gonna talk down about a staff who hasnt really proved anything one way or the other . Especially when NSD isnt here. They seems to know our areas of need and are doing ,IMO, a good job at addressing that.

    And with that said......GO VOLS!
