Whoa now, the guy is expressing HIS opinion which is as viable as yours or mine. Contrary to your opinion, I can't see where we are more stabile with the current staff. By definition, with a lot of turnover, as we have had in the past several years, our stability has not improved...at least until Jones and Co have been around longer than the past staff.

I greatly fear and already see signs of a segment of our fan base raising expectations on this staff beyond reality. Using twitter does not guarantee success on the field. I don't disagree that Jones is working hard but the previous staffs worked hard too. The new staff can't be expected to be our silver bullet, it's not that easy. Improving our program will take a lot of time. This season we face huge challenges. Coming off an o-fer SEC record, losing our most productive offensive players and facing a schedule tougher than we've had recently we risk a severe disappointment if we make this staff out to pull off the impossible. Lets give the new guys a fair chance please.

I agree with you on most of what you're saying. I guess with a new staff, hope springs eternal, right? I believe and have said on other threads, I think these guys can win here right off the bat. Granted we are losing much of our offensive fire power, but if we had a decent defense last year we could have gone 8-4, 7-5? We have players on this team, we have holes to fill, yes. But I think this team can win and go to a bowl game. Just accomplish that......and this will be a good year and give us much needed momentum in recruiting for next year.
Regarding VolsNC comments about comparing Dooley's first class and Jones first class....also remember this. After that first class, Dooley then went 4-19 in the SEC, that greatly affects Jones first class. For comparison the 3 years leading up to Dooley's first class UT went 13-11 in the SEC

I agree with you in many respects, and this staff deserves respect and support. We can question recruiting abilities etc...without slamming what has transpired thus far. To call UT's recruiting and coaching situation "sad" is ludicrous! Since Fulmer left there has been ZERO unity and cohesiveness until CBJ and staff. That is one exciting key to this staff. Almost all of them have worked together for quite sometime without abandoning ship. This speaks volumes! Opinions are valuable, as long as they don't overshadow the facts with whims and notions.

The coaching staff. Not being on same page with coaching etc...opposing or incompatible philosophies of what to do to be successful. Use your cars transmission for example: put the wrong trans fluid in it and it will run for a while. Eventually it will break or burn up. Not counting kiffin & co....CDD & staff were playing with philosophies and systems that did not work well together. CDD said it was Dcoord fault for bad defensive play, Dcoord says CDD didn't do his job blah blah blah. No unity as a staff. This unfortunately is translated thru players on and off field as well.
