Florida State running back commitment Mario Pender took an official visit to Tennessee this weekend. Do the Vols have a chance of pulling him away from the Seminoles?

If he comes to UT and is a January enrollee, he WILL play a lot. Guaranteed.
And he will be playing in the SEC.

Ryan, two ?'s
1. Do you view Pender as an every down back?
2. Do you think he might visit again with his family?
I know Pender may be a long shot, but the package deal has definitely got to appeal to him.

good point although if not mistaken we dont have a RB coach and FSU has one of the best in the business

IIRC, Chino will be finished with his GA after this year. Coach Dooley will either have to get another GA, or shuffle the staff and hire a full time RB coach.

dont know much about Chino but do think we need a full time RB coach asap ; if i were a big time RB and i was looking at a school to go for 3 or 4 yrs i would want somebody coaching me that has big time college or pro experience

He just doesn't have the pedigree that says he's a home run hire IMHO, and I think that's what it's going to take to get some of the better backs out there. I wish Dooley would hire a proven coach/recruiter to take the RB's coach spot. Again all this IMHO.
