It is probably more of a geography issue and not talent. He's in Big10 country and it would require a staff with connections in that area to draw him to the SEC. Many programs might shy away thinking he would stay closer to home. PA and OH could become a very fertile recruiting ground for our new staff with the tie-ins they have up there that simply did not exist under the former staff. Plus we have a slight geographic advantage over some other schools in the SEC as it comes to proximity to that area. On a side note, there is no reason a high school kid should be trying to make a quick "commitment" just to meet some arbitrary deadline. Hopefully, he will wait to look at all his options and make the best decision for him and forego the 30 seconds of air time a national commitment at the UA game would provide.

Maybe because he plays in class A, but with offers from M.St,ND, Wisconsin and all the Virgina schools it does seem a little strange. Coach Azzanni may earn his keep pretty quick if he can land him.
